I cannot believe it's been over a year since I've even looked at my blog. I'm not going to attempt to catch up the last year, I've slept since then and don't want to bore anyone. The last time I wrote I had suffered a back injury. I am still working at HealthSouth Rehab Hospital, but have a desk job in Medical Records.
Due to the loss in pay in switching positions at work, I have started an Arbonne business. Arbonne is a Swiss health and wellness company with all botanically-based products for the entire family. They are Vegan-certified, so NO animal testing or animal by-products in any of their products. Let me know if you're interested in earning some extra money or simply switching to a fabulous line of products. You can reach me at gahighlander0318@yahoo.com.
I've been knitting like a ball of yarn out of the basket, and have carpal tunnel syndrome to prove it. Oh, I still knit, but have to stop every 2-3 rows to rest my wrist. It's a real pain, on many levels! I am currently working on a ribbed hat for a great-niece. I will post pics of the work in progress and a completed hat I've done for another great-niece.
Must sign off, and will be back soon! I've been missing it here!

What's going on?

I injured my back at work Friday, so am at home waiting for the doc to release me back to work. I cannot get comfortable in any position. Argghhhh! I completed a prayer shawl that was presented to a high schol graduate on her way to college, and I have gotten a cross stitch piece framed. I've started a second Grumpy Old Bear for my granddaughter, Evie, and have been working on another cross stitch piece called Celestial Gathering. This is for my daughter for Christmas.

Tuesday is Knitting Day!

I am a member of my church's Prayer Shawl ministry. We knit and crochet prayer shawls for mebers of the congregation, as well as people in the community. I knitted a patchwork afghan for a little boy in Wichita Falls who has a brain tumor. I made 8"x8" squares and sewed them together. I used Red Heart Designer Sport in denim and grey.
I am currently working on Grumpy Old Bear for my granddaughter, Saira. I found the pattern in Susan Anderson's Itty-Bitty Nursery. I am using Rowan Handknit Cotton in linen. I can't wait to post a pictur!

This is me
Welcome to my cauldron. I am involved in a great mix of things, hence the need for a cauldron...to keep my life (somewhat) contained in one spot, and create wonderful things.
